This is a five story hotel with indoor waterpark attached. The foundation design for the hotel consisted of a drilled concrete pier system with concrete grade beams to support the structure. The original design of the structure was to be hollow core concrete planks bearing on masonry walls. SDS provided computer analysis and designed the custom entrance canopy, which consisted of steel tubes trusses with curved bottom chords supporting translucent blue roof panels.

This is an existing four story school originally built around 1910 with additions built in the 1950's and 1970's. The original construction of the building consisted of concrete floors, beams and columns with a wooden sloped roof and steel trusses over the gymnasium, which included a small elevated indoor track. Design worked performed for this project consisted of modifying the structure to allow for an elevator to be installed for all four floors of the main building as well as two elevators for the field house, design of the framing to support new rooftop mechanical units, removal of indoor track system over original gym and design the repair and/or reinforcement for any existing structual elements that were deteriorating.

This is a two story storage facility. The scope of work for this project was to design foundations capable of resisting vertical and horizontal loads created by the pre-engineered main frame, design the framing for the office portion, and to design the framing of the second floor to carry loads of future wrestling and weight training areas. Spread footings were designed for the gravity loads and hairpins were incorporated to spread the horizontal loads of the pre-engineered frame into the concrete floor slab. The second floor was designed to be a concrete slab on a metal deck supported by steel joists and wide flange beams. The beams are supported by the pre-engineered frame and steel tube columns.

The design of this 25,000 square feet facility consists of an exposed steel structure with masonry exterior walls. This facility includes a lobby area, training area and a conference hall. The roof of the lobby utilizes wide flange steel members to form the intersecting slopes. The training area is framed using steel joists bearing on wide flange beams and the exterior reinforced cmu walls. There are also two mezzanine within the training area which were designed with wide flange members bearing on reinforced cmu walls to form the floors. The conference hall was designed using bow string joists set on wide flange members. The wide flange members utilized moment connections to attach to steel tube columns.
